Philip is the son of a local United Methodist minister and was born and raised in the Williamsport Area. A Williamsport Area High School and Lycoming College graduate, Philip always had aspirations to return to the area to practice law. After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, Philip worked in Somerset, Pennsylvania and has a great deal of experience in Real Estate Law, having searched titles for oil and gas, wind power as an alternative energy source, and other residential and commercial purposes. Philip has assisted clients in reviewing and negotiating oil and gas leases and has a strong interest in helping clients deal with the unique issues arising from the Marcellus Shale. In addition to his interest in Oil and Gas Law, Philip has also aided clients in probating estates in Lycoming County and the surrounding area, real estate closings and in the preparation of various estate planning documents including: wills, living wills, and Medical and Financial Powers of Attorney. Since joining Elliott B. Weiss & Associates, Philip has concentrated in the following areas of law: Real Estate, Oil and Gas Law, Estate Planning, Probate, as well as other general practice areas.
